2026 Season

The above picture is of Coles County Chorus and Sound of Illinois members before taking the stage to sing in the 2025 Illinois District Barbershop Chorus competition. SOI / CCC took first place as qualified to compete in the BHS International competition on July 3rd, 2026.

Here are the major appearances for The Coles County Chorus for the 2026 year.

  • National Anthem @ National Trails Basketball Championship Game – Jan 31
  • Singing Valentines – Feb 14th – Coles County and surrounding areas
  • Lenten Concert – March 29, 4pm @ First Baptist Church Mattoon, 1804 S 9th St., Mattoon IL.
  • Coles County Chorus Summer Show / Show Tunes / – June 13 in The Theater @ Doudna Fine Arts on the campus of Eastern Illinois University
  • Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention & Competition (as part of The Sound of Illinois Chorus) – July 3rd – The Dome at America’s Center, St. louis MO.
  • Illinois District of Barbershop Harmony Society Fall Convention – Late Sep. – Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts – details TBA
Other events the Coles County Chorus members will be participating in:
  • Harmony College Midwest – March 21, 2026 – Bloomington IL.
  • South Eastern Illinois Youth in Harmony Festival – October 19th 2026 – EIU
